$16 Trillion in Bi-Partisan Debt

The Government Teat.
Everyone from illegal aliens to farmers to unions to businessmen are eagerly sucking
at the public teat of the US Treasury.

Bi-Partisan Bankruptcy  -  The US hits $16 Trillion in debt
  • Both parties can't stop spending other people's money in order to buy votes.
  • Obama's spending plans will add trillions to the national debt.
  • But even Paul Ryan's budget will add $4 to $6 Trillion to the debt over 10 years.

The United States Treasury reports that the total public outstanding debt broke the $16 Trillion mark. This is the first time in American history debt has eclipsed the $16 trillion mark.

Hell, it is all pretend Monopoly money anyway.  Just keep the printing presses rolling.  We can't be broke.  There are still checks in the checkbook!

The debt has increased approximately $5.4 trillion since President Obama took office on January 20, 2009.  While under George Bush another $5 Trillion was added to the debt.

We are on a dramatically unsustainable path. Forty cents of every dollar we spend is borrowed. Systemic factors, such as our aging population, make this the most serious financial challenge our nation has ever faced. This year will mark the fourth straight deficit in excess of a trillion dollars.

The IRS is mailing billions of dollars in tax credits to illegal aliens, and the USDA is partnering with Mexico to boost enrollment in food stamps.  Both parties keep voting to fund every spending project under the sun.  Have no fear, the Fed is there to print new money for the political hacks to spend.

Washington is disconnected from reality.
