Maryland GOP now in a stronger position in the lower chamber in Annapolis "than ever"

Republican Del. Kelly Ann Schultz of Frederick.

Fun Polito-Fact of the Day!!

From Eric Dondero:

We're now 4 weeks out from GOP Tsunami 2014, and still we're learning more and more about the enormity of the victory. Though, sometimes you've got to dig deep.  The media is not terribly anxious to inform us about the details of the Donk's ass-whooping.

For example, did you know that Maryland Republicans have more Delegates now in the MD House than ever before?

The victorious Maryland GOPers are holding their state convention this weekend.

Via washingtonlocalCBS, "Revived Maryland Republicans Hold Convention":

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is scheduled to speak at a state GOP convention in Ellicott City on Saturday.
Gov.-elect Larry Hogan and U.S. Rep. Andy Harris, Maryland’s lone Republican congressman, also are scheduled to speak. Republicans gained seven seats in the Maryland House of Delegates, increasing their numbers from 43 to 50.
While Democrats still control the Legislature in Maryland, Republicans will hold more seats in the House than ever. Republicans also gained two seats in the state Senate. (Emphasis added.)

Side comment - there's an open seat coming up in Maryland for US Senate in 2016. Buh-bye Barbara!  Schultz for Senate?
